User roles in Concord (Admin, Manager, Viewer)

Overview

Clinia’s platform includes three default user roles to help organizations manage access and permissions: Admin , Manager , and Viewer.

Each role controls what a user can view and manage inside the platform.

Available roles

Admin

Admins have the highest level of access. They can manage platform settings and user access for the organization.

Best for: System administrators, team leads, and operational owners.

Manager

Managers can access and manage day-to-day workflows and data. Depending on your organization’s configuration, Managers can:

  • Create and update Data Source Records

  • Ingestion Pipeline: accept, reject, and modify incoming data in the review queue (if enabled)

  • MDM Queue: review potential duplicates and link or reject record resolution in the MDM (if enabled)

Best for: Data stewards and operational users responsible for data quality.

Viewer

Viewers have read-only access. They can view information but cannot create, edit, or approve changes.

Best for: Auditors and stakeholders who need visibility without editing access.

Best practices

  • Assign Admin only to users who need to manage user access and workspace configuration

  • Use Manager for most operational users responsible for data management and review workflows

  • Use Viewer for audit, reporting, and leadership visibility, where no edits are required
